Sonic 2 CD Remix

The Sonic 2 CD Remix adds time travel, new level designs, and additional gameplay features to Sonic the Hedgehog 2. The mod was created by Pacca and other developers and it adds elements from Sonic CD to the original Sonic 2 experience. Players can hop between different versions of each region, impacting enemy placements, level layouts, and secrets.

There are three versions of each stage: the Past, Present, and Future. Players may change between them with Time Posts:

  • Get tougher, new enemies appear and the layout changes.

And so on and on — collect all of the Time Stones, and get a different ending for the game! The changing environments provide players with new incentives to replay levels and find hidden paths.
